We must make patriarchy fear us. We have a right to declare war on patriarcchy. As long as patriarchy holds the patent to violence, it knows it can rely on women’s real and legitimate fear of patriarchal violence. It counts on its use of violence to keep women scared shitless.
I wonder all the time why women, collectively, haven't chosen violence. It may partly be fear, but I'm convinced it's primarily hope--hope that men will someday care that we're human, clouded by the questionable conviction that men in our lives already do.
