Event: FEMINIST GIANT and The Strand Book Club Present This Arab is Queer
FEMINIST GIANT is teaming up with The Strand Book Store in New York City to launch a feminist book club! The goal is to have monthly events—a combination of in-person and online—that will feature exciting and global feminist books.
I’m especially excited for the October event for several reasons. For one, it is the Book Club’s first book launch. Palestinian-Lebanese-Australian journalist and writer Elias Jahshan is launching his new anthology This Arab Is Queer: An Anthology by LGBTQ+ Arab Writers in the U.S. on October 20 at an in-person discussion with me, hosted in the Strand Book Store's 3rd floor Rare Book Room at 828 Broadway on 12th Street.
This event is FREE to attend.
This Arab Is Queer is a vital and revolutionary book and I am honoured to have contributed an essay to it. You can read an excerpt of The Decade of Saying All That I Could Not Say, that I published here on FEMINIST GIANT when the anthology came out in the U.K. in June.
We will soon announce more contributors who will be joining us for the launch.
